| Having trouble installing a Bone Crusher or Waste King Gourmet unit? You may review installation instructions here online or see the next question for lost instructions. Are you are at the stage where the rubber cushion mount ring is to be installed and it's not working? First check that the ring is not pushed up too far onto the flange. This is a common situation where the groove in the cushion mount did not engage with the flange and will make it impossible to install the disposer, as you may already know. To correct this problem remove the cushion mount ring. Look at the inside of the ring and notice the groove, also look at the sink flange and see the ridge that will fit into the groove of the cushion mount ring. You may want to try it without the other mount ring, just to have a little more room to work and see how far up the flange it goes.
